                       Learn French and have fun!

Blablabylone is a recent language association located in the heart of

Bordeaux

. It favours multilingualism, learning about other cultures and meeting people, and discussion of a variety of topics: all in an easy-going atmosphere. It was founded in 2007 by Sonia Salum, Graduated of the Scuola superiore Interpreti e Traduttori of Milan and Teacher of language and gives various language courses in an informal and calm setting for a modest price.

This association has two goals. The first one is to present the possibility to become multilingual, without any pressure or any particular schedule with courses held by native speakers during tapas and a drink. The second goal is to make friends, and learn about other cultures in a friendly setting. This association also hosts every month “international” theme nights with food and drink from different regions.

The region of Bordeaux has many linguistic roots, and learning a new language contributes to its diversity and culture.

There are tables for many languages on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Every Wednesday evening from 8pm to 9.30pm learn one of several languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, or Chinese.

On Thursday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm you can learn:  French, English, Greek, Japanese and Arabic. All the language courses are available by reserving in advance. The German and Russian languages are available upon demand.

You also have the opportunity to learn French, English or Italian during the “tea-time” meetings from 16h00 to 17h30 on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

All these meetings take place at the restaurant “Le Chat Gourmand” located at 3, rue de Guienne (5 min Tram B  « Musée d’Aquitaine », 2 min bus stops 23 and 45 « Ste-Catherine »).

You may indulge in tarts and hot drinks during the “tea-time”, or a variety of tapas on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Outside of these hours,’’ Le Chat Gourmand’’ proposes local cuisine in a comfortable setting.

The association also offers traditional English, Italian, and Spanish language courses. These courses will be held every Saturday morning at COMITES 23, rue Capdeville in

Bordeaux

. You have the choice of a regular review (20hours) or activities and travel (15 hours). The aim of these courses is to help high school students pass their baccalaureate. The association also organizes courses for children starting at 4 years old. They will have the choice between English, French, Spanish or Italian. These courses last an hour and a half and are led by native speakers of the language. Drinks and cakes will also be available.

  • 180 Euros for a trimester,

  • 25 Euros for each lesson,

  • drinks, cakes, and teacher included in the price.
